As the sun rose, Papa Blue-Shoes walked out on the porch of the Blue-Shoes’ house.
He wandered down the driveway to pick up the morning paper.
He smiled at the buzzing sound of bumble bees.
He gazed around the yard and headed back to the house.
Captain Gus Bumble waited until Papa Blue-Shoes was safely back on the porch.
Then he signaled for the bees behind him to circle left and fly low over the clover patch beside the Blue-Shoes’ house.
